Asbeel - The Fallen Angel

Today we will be talking about a demon that is unfamiliar to many of us. Even if you search for this entity, very little could be found. For that reason it makes himself an interesting figure.

According to the early scriptures, God sent down a group of angels, to watch over his greatest creation, which is the mankind. That group of angels was called the ‘Watchers’. Among them was Asbeel. Before embracing the demonic nature he was an angel, serving God alongside the other angels. Asbeel and his fellow watchers lust for the beauty of the women and betrayed god by taking them as their wives. Even though Asbeel was an angel, his name means quite the opposite from the name of an angel. Asbeel means "God has forsaken", or "deserter from God".

After betraying god Asbeel and his fellow watchers became a fallen angels who led humanity away from God. Even though most fallen angels work on an agenda to defame god, Asbeel was significantly different from that. Apart from his lust for the women, his curiosity led him to his betrayal. He questioned why god punish and put his greatest creation through agony. He believed God as a tyrant, whom would rather have worship and praise given to him, in exchange for aiding mankind.

Asbeel pondered why god would rather just help mankind whether or not they worship him. Which is a fair question if you ask me! He pondered on why God would not allow His creations to properly advance themselves giving them the knowledge they deserve. And why he would choose destructive solutions, rather than completely clean away the evil and malice in their hearts since he was capable of it.

Asbeel believed that humanity should not be played by Devils, Angels and Gods on a daily basis but should be independent. I think he is one of the few entities who asked an actual reasonable question. Because god refuse to answer his curiosity he sided with satan, thereby ruling the underworld. Asbeel is a fallen angel that appears in the first book of Enoch, on chapter 69, verse 5 where it reads: "And the second was named Asbeel: he imparted to the holy sons of God evil counsel, and led them astray so that they defiled their bodies with the daughters of men." What do you guys think of this entity? Do you think he deserves to be a fallen angel or he was curious for the right reasons?

Archangel Uriel - The Angel of Wisdom

Archangels are spiritual beings who serve god, by fulfilling certain tasks assigned to them. In most cases, each archangel represent a certain attribute and are welcomed to god’s court. They also have the power above other angels who answer to them. Archangel Uriel is considered as the angel of wisdom. The angel is said to be carrying a flaming sword, that burns with god’s truth. Uriel will slice the darkness cause by lies and illusions with his sword, and light it with god’s truth. The name Uriel means ‘the god is my light’, which I believe perfectly aligns with the role of bringing light of truth, to where there is confusion. In the Second Book of Esdras, it is mentioned how god tasked archangel Uriel to answer many questions prophet Ezra had. Uriel talk to Ezra through a series of visions. When Ezra was in Babylon, he ask god why he keeps Israelites in misery, if god is just. We can see in the way Uriel answer him that there is rage. Uriel begins by telling Ezra t...

Uranus - The Sky God

Uranus, sometimes written Ouranos, meaning "sky" or "heaven", was the primal Greek god personifying the sky and one of the Greek primordial deities. Uranus or Father Sky, was the son and husband of Gaia, the primordial Mother Earth. His symbols were the Wheel and the Stars. Uranus was conceived by Gaia alone, but other sources cite that Aether, the god of the upper sky as his father. Uranus and Gaia were the parents of the first generation of Titans, and the ancestors of most of the Greek gods. Uranus came every night to cover the earth and mate with Gaia. Together, they gave birth to the twelve titans, the three one-hundred-handed giants named the Hekatonkheires, and the one-eyed giants the Cyclopes. Uranus didn’t like the children they give birth to. He considered them threats to his power. His Titan children however, were quite beautiful and they pleased him. But he was so disgusts by the sight of his other children. Legend also...
