Few are familiar with this mysterious demon Abezethibou, as he only makes himself known, when King Solomon summons the prince of hell in the Testament of Solomon. In the Testament of Solomon, the demon Abezethibou introduces himself and anyone choosing to follow him as a threat to God. Abezethibou was one of the demons Moses fought with his magic, he is also said to be the very one that secretly convinced pharaoh, to harden himself towards Moses in the Book of Exodus. Abezethibou rules over some segments of the underworld, challenging God's actions at every opportunity, Of the many angels who try to bring peace upon the world, Abezethibou proves to be a particularly dangerous enemy.
Abezethibou introduces himself within the Testament of Solomon, before that he was known as “the demon from the Red Sea,". When Abezethibou speaks to Solomon, he confesses that he isn't just a demon, but a fallen angel. Before becoming a demon, Abezethibou praised God alongside the rest, living in the first Heaven, which he called Amelouth. However after his fall, he says he began to dwell on Earth, disfigured and vengeful.
In the Testament of Solomon, the fallen angel Beelzebub explains to Solomon that during the fall, Abezethibou departed alongside him, Angry and vengeful, Abezethibou became a demon of the Earth in the aftermath. As Beelzebub says, that Abezethibou will never be outrank by any demon as the ruler of all demons. Abezethibou is a demon with a single red wing, as he took on a mutated form after his descent from heaven. It is said, to keep him from falling, the other angels have desperately grabbed Abezethibou, from one of his wings, this act has ripped the wing from Abezethibou's body and changed him into a monstrous, causing the other wing to become dark red.
Beelzebub explains to Solomon that Hell utilizes a type of unorganized hierarchy, Tartarus serves as a dungeon to punish wicked souls and a cage to house the banished Titans. Abezethibou plays a pivotal role in this hierarchy, even living in his unique home in the demon world, the Greek abyss of Tartarus.
Abezethibou is also a master of performing miracles, wonders, and signs, and can lend these powers to others. When Abezethibou explains his evil-doings to King Solomon, he explained himself as cunning and sly. He brags of his sorcery and magic, claiming to be far superior to Moses in every way. He even has the power to shift ideas in his favor.
One of Abezethibou's main accomplishments is challenging Moses with his magic, In the Testament of Solomon, Abezethibou claims he was the source of the anguish and turmoil Moses encountered in the Bible's Book of Exodus. The demon confesses he's the one who hardened the pharaoh's heart against Moses, catalyzing Moses to lead an exodus and convincing the ruler to follow their trail.
Abezethibou describes himself to Solomon as the opponent to Moses, even saying he is better at "performing wonders and signs." Abezethibou takes joy in antagonizing God's followers due to his intense hatred of God himself. In the Book of Exodus, Jannes and Jambres claim to be sorcerers and magicians. They perform the same magic that Moses previously showed the pharaoh, in an attempt to prove Moses a fake. But Abezethibou's account in the Testament of Solomon claims these two magicians had a bit of help from him. Abezethibou tells Solomon he was the one who aided them in their sorcery. When they called for help against God's miracle-worker, Abezethibou was there to lend his powers.
As Moses's primary rival, Abezethibou claims he didn't miss the opportunity to follow him across the Red Sea. When Moses fled with the Israelites across the parted waters, Abezethibou says he went after him, calling for the pharaoh to follow.
Aabezethibou became trapped in a pillar of air when the Red Sea closed upon pharaoh's army. King Solomon sorted help from the demon Ephippas to raises Abezethibou from this pillar from the depths of the waters. After the confrontation the king condemns both the demons to the pillar until the end of time. In response, the two demons leave Solomon with a cryptic omen: they will hold the pillar for as long as it takes, but on the day they drop it, the entire world will come to an end.
When Abezethibou and Ephippas are bound to an enormous pillar by King Solomon, the appearance of it is given a unique description: when they lift the pillar, it looks to be suspended in the sky by the wind. The pillar turns the sky an opaque color so it can be seen with the naked eye, this could be an origin story for the Milky Way.
When King Solomon approaches Beelzebub and asks about Abezethibou, the Devil reveals he knows Abezethibou very well. In essence, he tells Solomon not to worry about the lesser demon and worry about the return of Abezethibou. Beelzebub explains that abezethibou will rise again to wreak his chaos when he is ready. Even though Beelzebub won't fetch him, he assures the king that Abezethibou will shows himself according to his own free will.
